Unity Within the Community
On February 16th, Kevin Butler blogged about the upcoming mid-Conference meetings of the CLT (Coordinating Leadership Team - who are the agency executives or presidents) and General Council (the CLT + six elected members and the Memorial Fund President), and I want to share with you the character in which these meetings were conducted.
On the 16th Kevin asked for your prayers for these meetings and for the servants of the Conference during these meetings. To give you a little feed-back of how those meetings went, please allow me to sum it up in one word..."WOW"!
I had many, if not all, of the General Council say to me as they were leaving that these were the most productive meetings we have had...period! One of the newest members said that there was a sense of unity and cooperation. He was encouraged to witness that first hand and see that the people, who have been placed in the position to serve the Conference, are serving the Conference.
I want to personally thank all of you who lifted us up in prayer over the extended weekend.
And I want to thank the General Council for being used by the Holy Spirit's guidance and coming to the meetings and being "Are You Ready" to serve others.
The spirit of the meetings was truly one of unity within the community.
