The Christian Education Council would like to announce the availability online of the 3rd Quarter (June-August 2020) of the Helping Hand. Our study this quarter, entitled, “Many Faces of Wisdom,” explores wisdom, one of God’s greatest gifts to His people. Scripture tells us it is more valuable than gold, jewels, or anything else we can desire on Earth. It starts with the fear of the Lord and guides us through every decision in life, if we choose it. God is experienced as Wisdom in both the Hebrew Scriptures and the New Testament. During this quarter, we explore the many facets of wisdom as recorded in the Book of Proverbs, in the Gospels, and in the letter written by James.

We are aware that many subscribers have seen delayed arrival of their print copies. We have confirmed with our mailing service that parcels were shipped on April 23rd, and with a postage rate that should’ve assured delivery within two weeks. Given the arrival times with the Spring issue, we deduce that there are pandemic related delays around the delivery of the publication, as two weeks ago, we were able to track that some packages were still in Chicago, Illinois. Further tracking of the packages indicated that many were scheduled for delivery early this week. Additional delays may be possible depending on location and civil unrest. We invite subscribers who have not received their print copies to contact us to get a digital copy while they wait for their print copies to arrive. We do expect print copies to arrive momentarily for all our subscribers. We encourage all print subscribers to be sure that the mailing address on file is correct, as several of those who have experienced delays did not have their preferred address on file. We greatly appreciate the patience subscribers have shown around these delivery delays.
