Conference 2021As we enter the month of June, we have once against reached the season where churches who have members who have completed this year’s Scripture Memory Program need to report the names of their participants so they can be properly recognized!

Each year, the General Conference sponsors a program of Scripture memorization around the Conference Theme selected by our General Conference’s president.  In 2020-21, our program has been centered on the theme, “Restored for a Purpose,” and has led participants through a hopeful group of Scriptures meant to focus us around the things God has for believers in Christ.

At the completion of each year’s program, member churches of the General Conference can report their members who complete their program to the Christian Education Council for the recognition of their members.  In addition, the Christian Education Council recognizes the church with the highest number of members who have completed the program with the Mary G. Clare Scripture Memory Bowl in honor of the congregation’s achievement.  An additional award, the Andrew J. Camenga Award, is awarded to the church with the highest percentage of participants.

In order to have their members recognized and to be eligible to receive the other awards, we ask churches to report using the correct form by our deadline, which this year is July 11th.  Churches can submit their completed forms by emailing them to the Director of Education & History, or by postal mail to the General Conference office, postmarked by July 9th.  Get those forms in and celebrate God’s gift of Scripture!
