SDB Pastors Conference 2022

West Virginia may never be the same after we gathered April 22nd to 24th—nor will we be the same. What a joyous time as we reflected on the theme of resiliency, soaked in renewing times of relationship building, and gathered together for worship at three different SDB Churches: Salem, Lost Creek, and Middle Island.

The group of pastors, church planters, spouses, and SDB Conference Team members from throughout the United States and even the United Kingdom were encouraged through a series of devotionals led by Andy Samuels, Nick Kersten, David Stall, and John Pethtel. Sessions were facilitated by John Pethtel and Carl Greene, with the focus on small group and large group conversations among participants.

Many thanks to John Pethtel for coordinating and planning this fantastic time together. One additional item connected with this year’s Summit was implementation of the NAE Pastors Grant that was awarded to the SDB General Conference. Each participating pastor will be receiving a $1200 honorarium thanks to the generosity of the National Association of Evangelicals, many SDBs committed to the health of our pastors, as well as the Lilly Foundation.

If you are an SDB pastor who was unable to attend the Summit, but would like to participate in the grant program offering these honorariums, please contact grants@seventhdaybaptist.org. If you would like contribute to opportunities supporting the health of our SDB pastors, please contact jan_ehlers@seventhdaybaptist.org.
