This fall, there will be a new chapter recorded in Seventh Day Baptist history. After months of preparations, we are launching the inaugural SDB Visiting Instructor Program (VIP).

Pastor Kingsley Gauti, Malawi

Two Visiting Instructors from Africa who are currently participating in the SDB Africa Bible College will lead sessions surrounding Kingdom Living in an African Context. We will wrestle with discussion questions such as: How do we view God? What does the gospel mean for society? What does the gospel mean for the world?

Pastor Kingsley Gauti from Malawi and Pastor Vincent Ayienda from Kenya are the invited Visiting Instructors. They are currently participating in the SDB Africa Bible College and will attend North American SDB regional gatherings, provide instruction during SDBU, and also provide training at the SDB Center in Janesville, WI.

In-person sessions include:

  • October 21 — Regional Gathering in Milton, WI.
  • October 27 – 29 — SDB Emerging Leaders Seminar Series in Janesville, WI
  • November 4 — Regional Gathering in South Florida
  • November 10 – 12 — South Atlantic Association in Daytona Beach, FL

We excited for this innovative partnership between the SDB Missionary Society, SDB Africa Bible College, SDB University, the SDB General Conference of USA and Canada, and the SDB Memorial Fund! The Emerging SDB Leaders Seminar Series is made possible through generous donations to the new Rev. Alton and Ethel Wheeler Leadership Development Fund.

Stay tuned for more details about how you can participate and please be in prayer as we prepare for this amazing opportunity—together.
