Open the Door

The door is open to a renewed opportunity. Over the upcoming weeks, you will hear about an exciting SDB initiative that opens the door to new leadership development among emerging leaders. We are leveraging our existing work of leadership development while sparking new work as well. The open door to equipping young SDB leaders is thanks to generous donations being given to the Rev. Alton L. and Ethel Wheeler Leadership Development Fund.

The Rev. Alton and Ethel Wheeler Leadership Development Fund has been established to equip and missionally send young SDB leaders. The Fund has been created in memory of a ministry couple who shaped, equipped, and mobilized a significant number of SDB leaders. These legacy gifts are now being used to prepare our next generations of SDB ministry leaders in this unique window of leadership development opportunity. (Spoiler alert–you will be hearing these stories over the coming weeks.)

As you hear more about this exciting initiative through the SDB Newsletter, the Sabbath Recorder, and social media releases, it is important to know that through a partnership with the SDB Memorial Fund, any financial gifts given to the Wheeler Leadership Development Fund through the end of October will be matched dollar for dollar. You have the opportunity to open the door and multiply the development of our leaders today and into the future. We have renewed opportunity in 2023. Together.

In order to partner financially, please make checks payable to the “SDB Memorial Fund” with “Wheeler Leadership Development Fund” in the memo line. Checks can be sent to: SDB Center, PO Box 1678, Janesville WI 53547. If you would like to give online, please go to: https://www.seventhdaybaptist.org/giving/fall2023/
