Friday July 26, 2024. Buckhannon, West Virginia. The annual Gospel Feet Fun Run is on the calendar. I have a goal for this year . . . more on that at the end.
The SDB Missionary Society has invited us to run, walk, skip, and jump to raise funds for churches in Ethiopia & South Sudan. This year’s Fun Run means we will all walk/run for 30 minutes and do as many laps as we can. Recognition will be given for the church team that raises the most funds, as well as the team that runs the most laps.
Register for the Gospel Feet Run here.
Not going to Conference Week? You can still participate in your own group at home! But let’s be honest, running in the live event is the best experience. Make sure to register for the Conference Week 2024 (July 21 to July 28) held at West Virginia Wesleyan College in Buckhannon, West Virginia. Conference Week registration closes on July 7th!
The Running Goal
I admittedly have a mileage goal for the 30 minutes. We will see on that (look out Eric Bofinger). The more significant goal is that our movement reminds us of our call to proclaim the Good News to all corners of the earth. May we be reminded of our gospel saturation—that we are so dripping with the gospel as disciples that we can’t help but share the Good News with those around us.
Ok. Maybe it is more likely that the sweat of exercise will remind us of dripping gospel saturation.
