Pastor Gerry Edwards and SDB Director John Pethtel
On November 9, 2024, the Agape SDB Church of Christ in Queens, NY installed Gerald Edwards as a pastor in their church. Pastor Gerald is currently serving in the Army reserve and has been a leader in the church for years. This celebration included Pastors Kenroy Cruickshank, Deryck Thomas, Sherlock Caesar, and John Pethtel. Please pray for Pastor Gerry, his wife Shereen, their family, their church, and their ministry.
An Ordination Service for Pastor Scott Paulin (pictured above) was held on November 16, 2024 at the Battle Creek SDB Church (Battle Creek, MI). Kory Geske led music for the celebration and Judy Parrish delivered the Affirmation of the Ordinand on behalf of the Battle Creek Church. SDB Executive Director Carl Greene delivered the Sabbath Sermon based on Joshua 17:7-18 and Pastor Wayne North (Freedom SDB Church, New Auburn WI) issued the Charge to the Ordinand based on Joshua 1. Pastor J.R. Schick (White Cloud SDB, White Cloud, MI) delivered the Charge to the Church and Pastor Tim Smothers (Battle Creek SDB) led the Prayer of Consecration. The service concluded with Pastor Harold King (Battle Creek SDB) offering the Welcome to the Ministry. A blessed day of celebration and worship!
