There are tools that help us disciple better, love deeper, and communicate more fully. I am excited to introduce an opportunity for SDBs to apply these tools as disciple-makers. The SDB Coach Training will take place in Milton WI March 15 to 16, 2025.
As part of a ministry leader’s discipleship/mentorship toolbox, we should learn to coach others because it allows us to more effectively develop and deploy individuals within our congregation by fostering deeper spiritual growth. Beyond the individual, we also foster a more engaged community through providing personalized guidance, accountability, and support, aligning with core Christian values and personal calling and gifting.
The Specifics
Pastor Nathan Crandall of the Milton SDB Church will be leading this training focused on practical coaching methods. Pastor Nate has presented about coaching at the SDB Summit 2024 and our most recent SDB Pastors Forum, generating considerable interest for further training. Our hope is that ministry leaders will want to learn the “deep dive” coaching method to use in their congregations and in relationships with each other.

The training will begin at 2:00 pm on March 15 and end by 1:00 pm on March 16. Thanks to generous support from the SDB Memorial Fund, there is not a fee associated with this training. You will be provided training materials, snacks, and lodging at Camp Wakonda (Milton, WI). Meals are on your own. You can also arrange your own lodging if you prefer (at your cost).
