The renovations have begun at the SDB Center in Janesville, WI! The generosity of a significant number of SDB ministry partners makes it possible for us to take first steps toward our renewed vision of a disciple-maker training hub. Read on to hear about the astounding participation.
The increased use of the SDB Center has challenged us to provide an excellent physical setting that reflects the value of our people. When we invite SDB disciple-makers to come to Janesville, WI for equipping and collaborating, we want to host them in a building that reflects a Conference that is alive and zealously pursuing its mission. We are now in process!
During the 2024 Building Renovation Campaign, 115 individuals and churches financially contributed. We had a goal of $80,000 for the first phase of the work, and over $100,000 was raised! Thank you to those who participated in this partnership opportunity that is now bearing fruit—from renovation to preparations for hosting upcoming SDB gatherings.
Pre-renovation Board Room.
The first phase of work includes renovating the upstairs board room for mid-sized meetings and trainings. The carpeting has been removed from the walls, the room is now bright and sharp. The white boards that no longer erased have been removed. There is also power in the floor for laptops and technology upgrades for the room are now in process. We are also refreshing the first floor large group area for gatherings of 30 to 35 people. Work is also being undertaken to create meeting space for small group meetings and virtual meetings as well.
Phase 1 is focused on refreshing and renewing the highest use groups spaces we currently utilize. Upcoming phases will position us to better utilize the building for living out our SDB Conference mission. Together, we will continue equipping our churches to actively advance God’s mission.
