At the opening of the business session on Wednesday, July 23rd, SDB Executive Director Carl Greene announced that the Conference has received a significant grant from the Robert S. Morrison Foundation. The grant has been awarded in recognition of the leadership development training that the Conference has been undertaking, and the vision of increasingly using the SDB Center in Janesville, WI for training and equipping of leaders. The grant is a significant next step towards completing the renovation work at the SDB Center.
As stated by Alec Raffa, Co-President of the Robert S. Morrison Foundation, this grant is specifically to “support the restoration of training areas for leadership.” It is also important to note that securing this grant was made possible through the advocacy and initiative of Rev. Glen Warner. Many thanks to Rev. Warner for his encouragement of SDB leadership development and his direct involvement in making the SDB Center renovation work possible.
