The dust has settled since the SDB Gospel Feet Fun Run in Kenosha, WI. A big thank you to everyone who participated and gave! I might have traveled to Salem, West Virginia one week after the Gospel Feet Fun Run to do some training runs in the home city of this year’s dominant runners. Really.
Thank you to the Seventh Day Baptist Missionary Society for once again organizing this event during the SDB Conference Session. As announced by the Missionary Society, this year’s Fun Run raised over $3,000 to empower women in our partner churches worldwide. Many of these women lack access to education, discipleship resources, and sustainable support. The funds will help provide literacy programs, job training, and faith-based tools so women can grow and thrive in their communities.- Individual winners: Jacob Solomon and Kyler Huffman tied for most individual laps completed
- Church winner – Most laps per person: Salem SDB Church
- Church winner – Most laps overall: Milton SDB Church
For the record, I really did travel to Salem, WV for a blessed visit that included Sabbath worship and time of fellowship. What exciting Kingdom work and rest is underway here! I also got some solid Friday running miles at the 1,000 foot elevation that seems to prepare these runners so well. Wait until 2026 . . .
