Seventh Day Baptist Emerging Leaders from across North America are gathering in Janesville, WI from October 10-12, 2025. We are anticipating the largest group of SDB young adults yet for this annual retreat. Please join us in prayer during this time of final preparations and travel!
Two years ago, the Seventh Day Baptist General Conference launched the Emerging Leaders initiative to spark our discipleship process. The goal from Day 1 has been to connect SDB young adults with a peer network, offer missional opportunities to engage among SDBs, and to accelerate the leadership of a dynamic cohort of SDB leaders who are already serving in a number of capacities.

We are so grateful for generous ministry partners who have given financial gifts to make the ongoing work of the SDB Emerging Leaders Gathering possible. This includes gifts to the Rev. Alton L. and Ethel Wheeler Leadership Development Fund. This fund was created in memory of a couple who shaped, equipped, and mobilized a significant number of SDB leaders. Just as the Wheelers discipled and mentored many emerging leaders, the Fund is being used to prepare our current and next generations of SDB ministry leaders.
We also want to thank the generous donors who have made renovations at the SDB Center possible. We are increasingly utilizing the space at the SDB Center in Janesville, WI for events like the Emerging Leaders gathering. The SDB Center has served us well for over 40 years as a home for gathering, meeting, praying, and learning. It is a great blessing to enter into a new season of utilizing the SDB Center. Alongside all of these thank you notes, I want to be sure to highlight the important role the SDB Memorial Fund has taken in providing matching funds to make these initiatives possible.
