The Seventh Day Baptist General Conference is pleased to announce two important leadership updates as we continue strengthening our communications and organizational support.
We are excited to welcome Rick Crouch as the new Editor of the Sabbath Recorder. Rick brings a deep appreciation for Seventh Day Baptist history, storytelling, and denominational life. Many in our community may already know Rick through his previous service as editor of the Quarterly newsletters. He also currently serves on the Tract & Communication Council, giving him a strong understanding of our communications ministry and the important role the Sabbath Recorder plays in informing, encouraging, and connecting Seventh Day Baptists.
The Sabbath Recorder has long been a treasured publication in the life of our Conference, helping share stories of faith, ministry, mission, and connection across our churches. We are grateful for Rick’s willingness to step into this role and help guide the publication in this next season.
We are also pleased to welcome Lydia Solomon as our HR Business Partner. Lydia brings years of vocational experience as a human resources leader, along with a heart for service and care for the people who make ministry possible. In this role, she will help support the Conference’s human resources needs and strengthen the systems that serve our staff and ministry teams.
Lydia is also well known across the denomination through her leadership as President of the Women’s Society. Her experience, wisdom, and commitment to the Seventh Day Baptist community will be a meaningful asset as she takes on this new role.
Please join us in welcoming Rick and Lydia into these important positions. We are grateful for their gifts, experience, and willingness to serve the Conference in this season.
